Tithe Barn Wedding | Symondsbury

Hannah & Alex

“…thank you SO much for our fabulous photos!! We love them and I get that lovely feeling every time I look at them!”

Winter has officially started (at least it has in my house) so I thought what better way to warm myself up than revising Hannah  & Alex’s amazing wedding at the Tithe Barn on the Symonsbury Estate form July this year. I have such fond memories of this wedding, not least because I think this was the first wedding to be held at the Tithe Barn since it’s renovation.

A quick aside on the barn.  It’s awesome.  That’s all…I told you it was going to be quick! (Have a look at their website for more info, you might even spot a few of my pictures).

It’s always hard for me to capture a wedding in words (thankfully it’s not what I’m paid to do), I always think there’s a unique intangible spirit or ‘vibe’ to every wedding.  When you’re at the wedding you feel it, you sense it and in the case of Hannah & Alex there was just this glorious, effortless charm to the whole day.  It was wonderfully unpretentious yet beautifully stylish. I also feel compelled to give a special mention to the flowers, I can’t even give a shout out to the florist because I don’t know who it was but they blew me away, the pinnacle of understated elegance.  The bouquets were pretty darn awesome as well and made by none other than the mother of the bride, check them out they were amazing, I never cease to be amazed by all these crazy hidden talents that people have. Weddings really seem to bring out the best in people and this one was certainly no exception.

Most importantly though, I want to sincerely thank Hannah & Alex for letting me do what I do (whatever that is, I’m still figuring it out!).  They weren’t precious or prescriptive about anything and it’s that sense of trust that always brings out the best in me. I’ve loved revisiting this wedding.  Enjoy.
