As a  photographer I always love photographing weddings at Rowton Castle in Shropshire.  Such a beautiful venue with amazing grounds.  I also love photographing weddings that have heart and soul, that are drenched in real feelings and emotions.  So to be shooting Sian & Mike’s wedding, which combined both of theses things,  was a bit of a dream for me.

There are always a few little moments from every wedding that stick with me, that really sum up the feeling of the day.  For Sian & Mike’s wedding, it was this little note below that Sian’s daughter wrote in their guest book.  It was completely unforced, just genuine honest and real feelings.  As a parent of 3 small kids, this brought me to tears.  What an absolutely beautiful thing to write…and not just to write but also to feel!  I love little, life-affirming moments like this, they are what weddings and indeed life are made of.
