Hampton Court House Weddings | Elaine & Darren
A Winter wedding at Hampton Court House
Elaine and Darren got married at Hampton Court House just before Christmas. It was the last wedding of the year that I was photographing and I had been looking forward to it for quite a while.
Sometimes for a wedding you just get this fantastic feeling that the scene is really set for a cracking day:
– Having spend a great afternoon with Elaine and Darren for their pre-wedding portraits, I knew they were a fantastically relaxed couple and I immediate felt at ease in their company
– I love Hampton Court House as a wedding venue, I had only shot one wedding here previously but knew it was a venue that I keen to revisit
– It was only a couple of days before Christmas and the wonderful festive ‘Christmasy’ feeling was almost palpable. What’s not to love about this time of year and how romantic have a winter wedding.
So the stars were aligned for a pretty tremendous day – the weather could throw what it wanted at us (and it did – it pretty much rained all day and it was FREEZING cold) but we just didn’t care.
There are few brides who have captivated me quite like Elaine and even more so because she had absolutely no idea just how stunning she is. I adored taking photos of her in her amazing dress by Pronovias. I hope now, looking at her photos, that she can see what we all saw on the day, just how bloody incredible she looked.
And Darren you are a complete gent sir. You were immensely kind and thoughtful to me and everyone else throughout the day. It’s not often that I don’t want a wedding to end (my feet usually start to give up after about 12 hours running around) but I could have quite happily partied into the night for this one.
Lastly I just wanted to say how much I love it when the bride makes a speech. I know it breaks with some weird tradition but I think it’s totally fantastic. Here’s to lots more brides making lots more speeches. Elaine, yours rocked!
Many many congratulation to two very good eggs – Elaine & Darren
Here’s a few very kind words from Elaine & Darren about being photographed by me:
We spent a long time choosing the right person – in the end what won it for us e was Brett’s informal, reportage style. We didn’t want all of the shots to be contrived, and that’s exactly what I got. I had also seen a wedding he had shot at Hampton Court House previously and it was clear he really knew what he was doing with lighting. On the day itself, Brett took amazing natural shots which show the magical warmth and relaxed atmosphere of the day. He captured all of our personalities and feelings from beginning to end.
If you are having a Hampton Court House Wedding or indeed if you’re getting married anywhere else and are still looking for a wedding photographer to capture your day in a creative yet relaxed fashion I would love to hear from you.
