Guyers House Wedding
Rachel & Lawrence | Guyers House Wedding
“They are A-MAZ-ING! We love them! Thanks so much Brett”
In terms of wedding weather there’s only one thing better than a beautiful sunny day and that’s a day that starts off pretty grim and show no sign of improving but just at the right moment the sun appears as if by magic. I know I’m a bit obsessed by the weather (forgive me I am a wedding photographer so it does kind of go with e territory) but I do find it odd how few genuinely wet weddings I’ve actually had to photograph. I often joke that couples should hire me if for nothing else than I seem to have a direct line to the weather fairies (although perhaps by saying that I’m now jinxed the whole thing!).
Rachel & Lawrence’s wedding at Guyers House Hotel near Bath was a typical case in point, there were times during the day when it was absolutely lashing it down with no sign of relenting yet at all the key ‘outdoor’ moments is all came good. In fact it came a bit better than good, it was utterly sunning in that post-downpour kind of way.
This was the 2nd wedding I’ve photographed at Guyers House, I was still stunned by just how beautiful the grounds are, even more impressive when you know that the whole lot is looked after by only a single gardener. I’ve always loved nature, I’m totally in awe of it’s beautifully and I love to try and bring a little bit of that to photographing weddings.
That’s more that enough of me rambling on about the weather, nature and Guyers House, it just leaves me to say a massive thanks to Rachel & Lawrence and their friends and family for making me feel so welcome on the day. It was such a stunning day and I loved playing a very small part in it.
