Family Portrait Photography | Essex Stylee
As a Bristol Photographer who frequently takes family portraits I never thought I’d utter the words ‘I so love those pictures, you know the one where he’s holding the gun’ about any of the pictures I produce form a portrait session. But that’s exactly what I did say.
At first glance it looks like I’ve tried to style the shoot, well you’d be wrong. The shoot was actually styled by Joel. Yes that’s Joel……the one with the GUN. Joel is an amazing boy, I loved the fact that he really got into character without any prompting or encouragement. The shots may look a bit contrived but they are 100% Joel’s making, he dressed himself, chose the right gun from his collection and arranged all the items on the table and for his piece de resistance even found a hip-flask!
If only I could have Joel on all my shoots. I think he must get his sense of style from his mum who just happens to a designer for Anya Hindmarch, these sort of things do help. He certainly doesn’t get this from his dad, the soon to be legendary, Duke Of Pork. Nick-Nick AKA The Duke Of Pork (for you Twitterers out there you can follow him @DukeOfPork) is Essex’s premium purveyor of piggy treats. He’s selling quality, locally sourced, free-range pork produce, all cooked and served from ‘Alf’ his 1964 vintage Morris LD van. Alf is currently in the care of the re-fitters who converted Jamie Oliver’s ‘The Cock in Cider’ (I wonder just how bored Jules Oliver is of that joke) but should be out and about in the New Year at a festival/gathering/happening near you.
In pork we trust……….
Other than taking pictures of The Family Pork, I was also in Essex to take some marketing and advertising product shots for The Duke. So for those of you that can’t get enough of premium porky pictures please scroll to the bottom of this post. WARNING: do not even think about looking at these pictures if you are at all hungry. You have been warned!
Piggy treats this way…………..
