Bristol Wedding Photographer

As a wedding photographer based in Bristol I actually get to photograph far too few Bristol weddings. So being asked to capture Sarah & Chris’ day was a joy for many reasons not least because of the fantastic setting of their reception overlooking Clifton suspension bridge.  To cap it all, the sun shone for pretty much every moment of the day, I hate myself of saying it (especially knowing how crappy our summers can be) but it was almost too hot, I really felt for the the bridal party in their suits and Sarah in her stunning dress – but it did allow us to get some pretty cool shots.

I knew from spending an evening with Sarah & Chris for their pre-wedding portraits that their wedding  was never going to be about lots of pompe & ceremony and that’s what made it so very special. Everything felt so personal and genuine.  Sarah & Chris had their ceremony at St Katherine’s Church in Lulsgate and then had their reception in a marquee at their friend’s farm down the road.  And what better was to get to the reception than on the back of a tractor – completely unpretentious and completely brilliant.

Sarah looked amazing, and her flower by Jane Taylor were beautiful.  I will genuinely never forget the scene where Sarah was riding her horse, Bob, bareback around the field at sunset.  I felt really privileged to have witnessed this and slightly nervous to try and capture just how amazing she looked. I think I succeeded.
