Hi there, I’m Brett. I live in Bristol (with my wonderful kids and beautiful wife), photographing weddings throughout the UK and occasionally abroad.
Curiosity is at the heart of what I do … that and a persistent creative itch that I need to scratch! I have found that wedding photography is the perfect medium to satisfy both my love and curiosity of people, and at the same time provide an outlet for my visual creativity.
I would be the first person to admit that I’m not a traditional wedding photographer. Typically the couples who book me are not looking for, and don’t want ‘traditional’. That doesn’t mean I don’t document all the key moments throughout your day - and yes, I do still take group shots if you want them! But, it’s those magical moments in-between the more obvious ones that I especially love, and that tell the real story of your day.
I love visual storytelling. The story told within a single frame, and the broader one told through multiple pictures over the course of a day. It’s thrilling to be able to document these stories through my photography. I’m genuinely honoured that I get the opportunity to be the family historian for a day, and totally understand the responsibility that job brings.
