Interiors Photography | A Metrosexual’s Dream – part 1
Even from a fairly early age, I’ve always been a bit more Elle Decoration than a Loaded kind of bloke. I’ve always loved looking around peoples houses and seeing the different ways people leave their mark and make the space their own.
To be offered the chance to photograph Cornwall’s newest and possible most stylish rental property was a metrosexual’s dream come true. Sure I’ve photographed lots of interiors before but in most of those instances the the interiors were merely incidental as part of a portrait or wedding shoot – here the interiors were taking centre stage and there was no doubt about them being the star of the show.
The property in question is Tregulland. Nestled in a valley on the edge of Bodmin Moor, Tregulland in North Cornwall is a luxurious self-catering home, designed especially for large group holidays of up to 24 people. To call it Luxurious is almost an understatement – it’s pure fantasy for anyone into exquisite interior design with the emphasis on comfort. I was fortunate enough to stay here for the 2 days of the shoot and I so didn’t want to leave.
In a short space of time Tregulland has already been featured in The Guardian as one of their top Christmas rental recommendations, and there is no doubt it will very quickly become a landmark destination for the style-conscious holiday crowd. I can’t wait to persuade the owner to let me do a fashion shoot here – so watch this space!
I hope you enjoy the photos and perhaps they might even inspire you to spend a week at Tregulland yourselves.
