Right in the very heart of London’s Mayfair, this was an incredible wedding at the amazing Dartmouth House.
Having met and spoken to Anthea and her fiancé Nimish a number of times, I knew that they could be getting married anywhere and it would still be an unforgettable day, Just beautifully relaxed and genuine people. That’s not to say that Anthea didn’t know and appreciate style – she had it by the bucketload! – and she looked just AMAZING on the day. My only fear in blogging the wedding was that people might think that she was a model and not a ‘real’ bride. She is 100% real – promise!
The day started off with bridal preparations at The Mayfair Hotel. I never cease to be amazed when I see the transformation from the bride-to-be, that I first met many months ago, to the bride on her wedding day. Anthea was radiant, elegant and beautiful. Nim didn’t scrub up too bad either!
The wedding itself was at Farm Street Church (if you are one of theses people that navigates London via reference to the proximity of various pubs – it was just down the road for Guy Richie’s PunchBowl Pub). I had met up with Father William a few weeks before and he couldn’t have been more helpful, photographically very little, if anything, was off limits during the ceremony. What a stunning church it is, very grand indeed.
The reception was at Dartmouth House, an amazing mansion house in the heart of Mayfair. Not only is is a great London wedding venue but the team there, headed by Richard Fisher, are first class – proceedings ran like a Swiss watch. Oh – and the food is to die for (as you would expect from a venue with connections to Leith’s).
Many many congratulations Anthea and Nim, it was an absolute privilege taking pictures at your wedding and getting to know you both
If you are still looking for that perfect central London venue, I’d highly recommend Dartmouth House and if you’re looking for a photographer I’d love to here from you, please get in touch.
